In this conversation from Cannes, Enrico Bonetti and Dominique Kozerski reflect on their journey from Italy and London to New York, where they met while working for Peter Marino. Their first major collaboration—a New York apartment for Donna Karan—launched a studio that would expand into hotels, private residences, and art galleries worldwide.
Their work with Pace Gallery deepened their relationship with contemporary art, shaping an approach where architecture becomes a flexible container designed to elevate the artwork within it.
Seven years ago, a new challenge arrived: designing the Oasis yacht for Benetti. Without prior experience in yacht design, they questioned established rules and approached the vessel as a moving piece of architecture. The result was an open, fluid interior defined by reflective white lacquered surfaces, rosewood details, and a gradual transition from openness to warmth.
Their philosophy remains consistent: function comes first. By solving real spatial and operational problems—listening to captains, crews, and clients—the aesthetic emerges naturally. For Bonetti and Kozerski, uniqueness is not a stylistic choice, but the outcome of intelligent solutions.
