    About

Costa's reflection starts from what commonly anguishes the contemporary world, natural disasters, speculations, pollution, the devastating environmental impact of unsustainable development, the reckless exploitation of natural resources by translating these and other issues into images.

    Costa Giacomo

Giacomo Costa is an Italian artist primarily concerned with photography, which he often digitally alters in order to generate a futuristic urban landscape. These fantastic, apocalyptic images borrow their aesthetic from science fiction literature and film, where architecture takes on a colossal scale. Pulverised landscapes and lonely structures that inhabit anonymous cities are a constant element in this series, a metaphor for the depersonalisation that affects contemporary metropolises whose buildings soar above the human scale.
His work has been reviewed by the following international magazines: El Pais, Es (cover), Digital Photo, Ru (cover), Silver Shotz, Uk (cover), Exit, Es (cover), Evolo, Usa, Photography, Korea, Photo Magazine, D., Art, D., Frame, A, C-Photo magazine, UK.
Giacomo Currently lives and works in Florence.
