About the artist

Cipriani Elettra

Italy

Elettra Cipriani, born in Florence into a family of musicians, moved to Rome during her adolescence, where she attended artistic high school while continuing her passion for music, which significantly influenced her creativity. Her interest in ceramics led her to pursue it professionally in 1978. Recognizing a lack of attention to Ceramic Art in Italy, she began teaching to share her skills. Cipriani has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions, including the recent "The Contemporary Ceramic Sculpture in Italy" at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome.

About the artwork

Geometry Triptych

Vases. Terracotta neriage, stains.

Hand selected by our curators

The Nerikomi technique, with its layers of colored clays, transforms into an explosion of chromatic 'droplets' that vibrate across the surface of the vase, creating a rhythm that captures the eye.
