About the artist

Bevilacqua Marta

Italy

Marta Bevilacqua is an Italian self-taught artist whose practice explores the connections between art, science and the natural world. Working with fluid acrylics, she investigates the physical and chemical forces that shape matter, expressing their interactions through colour, movement and texture.

Her creative process unfolds through a dialogue between intention and spontaneity. Density, viscosity, surface tension and the interaction of pigments contribute to compositions that evoke marine depths, geological formations and primordial energy.

Moving between abstraction and emerging recognisable forms, her work explores the relationship between microcosm and macrocosm, revealing visual echoes across different scales of nature. Through individual paintings and multi-panel compositions, she invites viewers to contemplate matter as a dynamic expression of energy in continuous transformation.

About the artwork

Flussi d'Acqua #01

Paintings. Fluid acrylic on canvas.

The artwork is part of the diptych “Water Flows”, born from an artistic exploration of the energies that animate the ocean depths. The diptych evokes a journey into the underwater world, where ocean currents meet the hidden heat of the Earth. Across the two canvases, colours and flowing forms create a dialogue that guides the eye from one work to the other. The breath of the deep sea shapes ever-changing submerged landscapes, revealing the mysterious forces and rhythms that lie beneath the surface.
