Martinoli Lorenzo

Lorenzo Martinoli’s artistic research begins with the material, focusing on iron and forging as key elements of his work. Large iron plates are transformed in his hands into light, airy figures. His sculptures, often resembling preparatory sketches for larger works, defy the heavy, solid nature of iron with stylized, thread-like forms that maintain their lightness even in large-scale reproductions. Iron and fire are central to his art, where the ancient coal forge, active since 1874, merges with modern creativity to produce a unique, all-encompassing artistic expression.
