About the artist

Mastromarino Michele

Italy

Michele Mastromarino (Altamura, 1980) is an artist and architect whose work explores matter, stratification, memory, and Genius Loci. Trained in architecture in Rome, he developed a parallel artistic practice rooted in lived experience, urban landscapes, and travel. His painting is a free, tactile process of layering and subtraction, where architecture and art coexist—order and instinct, space and memory, measure and freedom.

Paintings. Acrylic on canvas.

Hand selected by our curators

From "Tempo e memoria" collection. A work that explores time as layered matter through repeated gestures and chromatic sedimentation. Shades of gray, white, rust, and warm accents create a delicate balance between natural and artificial, memory and present.
