About the artwork

Skinning

Paintings. Wood panel with stucco, pigments, and Japanese tissue paper.

Hand selected by our curators

Skinning is a reflection on absence and the passage of time. The contrasting raised motifs recall fossils, while the colored, corroded textures refer to forms eroded and crumbled by time.
