Luca Vacchelli is a Genoese architect who worked for many years with Aldo Rossi on projects both in Italy and abroad. In 1992, he opened his own studio in Genoa. From 2002 to 2015, he was a contracted professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Parma. Among his major works, in addition to designing the Italian headquarters for the pharmaceutical group Hoechst Marion Roussel in Milan, he also designed the new Faculty of Oenology in San Michele all'Adige. Passionate about painting and drawing, he has been working for many years on a pencil drawing research project focused on animals. In 2021, he published "Architettura della Natura" with Pendragon. For the Luzzati Foundation, he contributed to the 2022 Theatre Campaign with a series of animal drawings. In 2023, he illustrated Mario Curtis’s book "Basta poco. Momenti straordinari di una vita quasi ordinaria" for Rizzoli.
