Plaka Ylli

Ylli Plaka, born in Tirana in 1966, embarked on his artistic journey by obtaining a degree in sculpture and ceramics from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana. His passion for art led him to Italy in 1991, where he immersed himself in the rich traditions of ceramic art in Savona and Albisola. There, he honed his craft and became renowned for his unique approach, which eschews fleeting trends in favor of a deeply personal exploration of material and form.

Over the years, Plaka has left an indelible mark on the contemporary ceramic art scene, with numerous solo and group exhibitions showcasing his captivating sculptures. His work has graced prestigious venues across Italy and Europe, earning him accolades such as the 1st Prize at the International Maiolica Festival in 2009. Plaka's sculptures, characterized by their emotive depth and technical mastery, have found homes in private and public collections worldwide, a testament to their enduring appeal.
