Limenes Bela

Mexico

Born on April 21, 1959, in Mexico City, Mexico, the artist has been working as a photographer since 1981. Her work explores two primary themes: the representation of women and the relationship between humans and nature. She holds a B.A. in Graphic Design (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, 1982) and an MFA (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, 2014). She has studied under renowned photographers such as Nacho López and Manuel Álvarez Bravo. Since 2004, she has taught photography at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos. Her work is in collections including Fototeca Nacional (Mexico) and ATcultura (Argentina).
