Sara McKenzie (born 1957, US) grew up on both coasts of the United States before returning to the central plains for her college and graduate studies. Her formal education was in science, and she spent over 30 years working in biotechnology in the Boston, Massachusetts, area. Throughout her career, McKenzie has explored a wide range of media, including fabric, fiber, glass, paper, clay, and paint. Her work delves into themes of form and function, color and shape, representation, and abstraction. Currently, she lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and has participated in numerous exhibitions across the USA and Europe.
