Pollini Gianluca

Gianluca Pollini was born in 1960. He lives and works in Bologna. He began photographing in 1982 dealing with naturalistic reportage, collaborating with the Panda Photo Photographic Agency in Rome until 2012.
From 1993 he started working mainly with medium format (Hasselblad) using 120 b / w film, preferring still life (in the studio) and landscape images. From 1998 to 2008 her works were treated by the Image Gallery of Daniela Facchinato in Bologna, the first photo gallery opened in Bologna.

We can place Gianluca Pollini's photography between
classicism and reinterpretation of reality. He does not manipulate any of his images. Instead, he envisions the final result already during shooting, even in the most challenging conditions.

His photography is a suspension of time: an unrepeatable fraction of a second in the long wait for the perfect moment for pressing the shutter button.
