About the artist, Costa Giacomo
Giacomo Costa is an Italian artist primarily concerned with photography, which he often digitally alters in order to generate a futuristic urban landscape. These fantastic, apocalyptic images borrow their aesthetic from science fiction literature and film, where architecture takes on a colossal scale. Pulverised landscapes and lonely structures that inhabit anonymous cities are constant element in this series, a metaphor for the de-personalisation that affects contemporary metropolises whose buildings soar above the human scale.
