  • About

An essential part of Karin's work is the study of hybrid zoomorphic iconography. As art history shows, we have always been able to consider ourselves ontologically distant or separate from other animals: humans with animal characteristics are generally depicted as supernatural idols, evil or primitive demons driven by instinct.

Karin would like to focus on a different type of zoomorphic image, beyond the traditional moral connotations and based on the idea of proximity between man and animal. Hybridization, therefore, becomes a symbol of contamination and cooperation with any type of biological and social alteration.
