About
Barbara Frua De Angeli is a leading Milanese interior decorator and famed designer. Her work pays homage to Milan's decorative arts tradition in an eclectic fashion, often at crossroads between art and design. She is considered by many as the natural descendant of Giò Ponti, who was also a friend of her family.
For this year Barbara Frua has created a collection of rugs for the Alberto Levi Gallery entitled 'Par Terre'. These flat-woven rugs are hand-woven in hand-spun, precious Cashmere wool by means of the chain stitch technique, a type of embroidery that is characteristic of Indian textiles since the Mughal period.

About the artist, De Angeli Frua
Barbara Frua De Angeli nullifies boundaries, meridians and parallels, sooner and later. By putting everything together in an idea of an elegant and disarming house for its sophisticated and natural delicacy. Barbara designs and creates her interiors, furniture and carpets with the spirit and lightness of a nomad who knows the journey in the world and that in life.
Barbara adds colour to our eyes and warmth to our heart. Her work without arrogance is strong in sure memories and hypotheses respectful of the lives of others. Her design, more than internal, is inner and intimate.
