Paolo Benvenuti was born in Florence in 1981, from an early age he began attending restoration and carving workshops. At nineteen he went to a sculpture course in the Travertine quarries near Siena. He has collaborated in the creation of monumental works by well-known contemporary artists and he has been involved in the restoration work of the historiated floor of the Siena Cathedral. This training allowed him to study closely both contemporary and Gothic and Renaissance art on a daily basis and was able to deepen the various sculpture techniques on different scales and in different types of stones.
Currently, his artistic research is focused on the creation of sculptures in stone and marble of different nature and colour, he loves to sculpt the stone directly even in the design phase. His works are part of public and private collections in Italy and around the world.
