About the artist, Brachetti Peretti Ferdinando
Ferdinando Brachetti Peretti's images reveal a curious and detached gaze, the result of long experience, which has so far remained exquisitely private. The subjects selected in his obsessive search reflect the voracious desire to capture everything that affects his imagination during his countless travels. In the enormous amount of images stored in its archives, one can appreciate the remarkable coherence of method, whether it is taking a photo of a New York building or portraying the smoking bowels of a quartered animal, Ferdinando Brachetti Peretti inexorably transfigures everything. His style is not easy to accept, and does not follow fashion trends, things allowed only to a disinterested outsider.
Born in Rome, where he lives and works, in 1960, Ferdinando Brachetti Peretti is an entrepreneur in the energy field. After his recent participation in the Venice Biennale in 2011 he held a personal exhibition in Madrid, at the Caylus Gallery from November 2011 to January 2012, in Bologna, at the Galleria Forni, during the latest edition of Artefiera in January 2012, in Milan at MIA (published by Art Milano) and in Rome at Macro - Museum of Contemporary Art in May 2012.
